Community Contribution
We look after one-third of NZ's social housing stock, Spencers make a tangible difference in the community by delivering food hampers and gifts to Kāinga Ora Community Group Housing tenants and others in need. We support local schools and businesses as part of our ongoing commitment to the communities where we all live and work.

HUDSON SELLARS APPRENTICE SCHOLARSHIP
Spencers’ Hudson Sellars Apprentice Scholarship benefits apprentice employees of our solid and professional trades contractor employers, who are great mentors to their apprentices.
Women in Trades Expo
Spencers’ Northland team was pleased to be part of a special event, the Women in Trades Expo, in Whangārei in November. This event encourages and supports women to enter the construction industry, and celebrates women working in construction. It was hosted by Te Matarau and supported by local companies Whanga-Ara-Rau and Hanga-Ara-Rau.
Beach Cleanup – Petone
Petone beach is shared by all of the community and its visitors. As it is connected to the river, rubbish is dragged onto the beach and does require maintenance to keep it clear. Spencers arranged a beach clean for October, and will schedule these at regular intervals to keep the beach in a nice condition.
